I created Sapphire Dreams because I wanted to share my passion for life, love, and motherhood through cooking, crafting, and parenting. For years I debated on starting a blog and I finally decided why not? I love trying new ideas. I love sharing new ideas. I was essentially blogging on my Facebook page and decided it was time to start an actual blog.
Who are you?
I’m glad you asked.
My name is Lynsey and I am a pharmacist, wife, and mother. I have been married to my husband for 8 years and together we have 3 beautiful children. I homeschool my oldest daughter (who is currently in first grade). My younger two boys aren’t old enough for school just yet (my youngest was just born last November). Between working full time, homeschool, chasing a toddler, and breastfeeding a baby, things get crazy….fast.
I also have two dogs. Sophie is my toy American Eskimo who is elderly. She suffers from seizures, diabetes, and blindness. To make life easier for her, we got a puppy last year. Charlie is a Yorkiepoo. I never imagined mixing an elderly dog who naps all day with a hyper puppy would be a bad idea. But here we are!
We have one cat. I wish I could tell you her name, but she goes by several nicknames. My daughter named her RedFred (yes, even though she is female) when we first got her, my husband calls her Kitless, and I call her KitKat. No wonder she never comes when you call her!
We also have chickens. Given the current rate of a dozen eggs at the grocery store, our chickens are going to save us up for retirement! All joking aside, we actually just have chickens as a hobby mini-farm. I grew up having chickens and my husband is along for the ride, so we have chickens! He might not admit it, but he seems to have found his calling as a chicken farmer.
What is Sapphire Dreams?
- Are you a mother?
- Are you looking for new ways to reduce stress and enjoy life more?
- Do you want to be a “fun” mom but don’t know where to start?
- Do you want some new recipes that are easy and family friendly?
- Do you want to know that we’re all in the same boat together and no one really has it together?
If you answered yes to any of those questions, you have come to the right place my friend. I am your people. Welcome!
Hallelujah!
I started this blog to share my personal ways of coping with chaos. I love to cook. I love to craft. I love to involve my kids in everything I do. I am using this site to document how I make life full of more core memories and less about stress.
We’re all struggling somehow, but it helps to know we’re not alone.
